What is the Allurion Gastric Balloon?

How is the gastric balloon placed
A soft capsule containing the deflated balloon is swallowed during a brief 20-minute medical consultation. No surgery is required. To facilitate its placement, the patient takes small sips of water. An X-ray will ensure that the capsule is in the correct gastric position.
The capsule is connected to a catheter, through which the physician fills the balloon with a serum. A second X-ray is performed to confirm that the balloon is full, before the catheter is removed. And the placement is finished.
After 16 weeks in the stomach, the balloon is emptied by a programmed discharge valve and it is removed naturally. For this assisted weight loss programme to achieve the desired results, following the diet and exercise plan proposed by your doctor and a nutritionist is important.
